Wartburg is one of only a few East Tennessee towns with a 0% property tax rate. It's a great place to live and work. If your property is located within the Wartburg Municipal Growth Plan and you want to join the city and get the benefits of city services, such as free residential garbage pickup and additional police coverage for your home or business, you can make a request in writing to city officials for approval.
