Bless your heart; it's just not that easy to register for Barkley Marathons.

First of all, since the creation of the Barkley Marathons in 1986, out of the thousands of competitors who even figured out how to register for this race, only 17 people have ever successfully finished the Barkley Marathons.

The Barkley Marathon is considered by many to be the hardest Ultra-marathon in the world; before you start your quest to register for the race, you should consider something a little easier, like the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc in Europe, the Comrades Marathon in South Africa, or the Western States 100, California, USA. These can all be good options to help you prepare for the Barkley Marathon.
